Language is crucial to human interaction. It is the
primary way in which we communicate our thoughts, beliefs, emotions,
etc.
We are interested in finding out how language is used in
conversational settings and what cognitive processes are involved. For
instance, how do people constrain what they say based on what they know about the person they are speaking to? What type of auditory or contextual information do people use when interpreting speech?
