文字方塊: Opportunities for children and parents to take part in our research depend on our current projects. In some of our projects, children and parents visit the Center for Parent-Child Studies on the University of Illinois campus in Champaign. Visits range from half-an-hour to two hours depending on the project. During these visits children and parents work on a variety of activities both on their own and together. We offer childcare for siblings of participating children during the visit.
Children and parents may also take part in our research by completing questionnaires. We frequently work with schools in not only the Champaign-Urbana area, but also the greater Illinois area. Children complete questionnaires during a time that teachers and principals deem will not take away from children’s learning. Most often, children complete the questionnaires with the majority of their classmates. Parents are asked to complete questionnaires at home.
