Research interests:
What's the best way to speak (or write) if you want to be remembered? My research interests include the relationship between language, memory and attention. In work with Prof. Benjamin, I am investigating how various cues in speech, like prosodic emphasis and disfluency, affect what listeners pay attention to and what listeners remember -- and how how the use of these cues may differ across the lifespan. I also investigating how knowledge about other people's memory, such as knowing what was easy and what was hard for someone else to remember, changes how we apply our own memory.
