Research interests:
I am interested in how people estimate how long future tasks will take and why their estimations are often biased. A review of time estimation literature led me to propose, in the memory bias account, that error in prediction can often be attributed to error in memory. There is a tendency for memory for past duration to be biased, and therefore, predictions based upon these memories will be similarly biased. My current research examines the implications of this account of bias in time estimation behavior in a number of different domains.
