Research interests:
I am interested in learners' metacognitive beliefs about retaining
information that can be integrated into larger knowledge structures
and information that lacks such organization. I look at this question
in the context of source monitoring, evaluating the influence of
background knowledge on item and source memory performance. A second,
related question concerns differences in learners' retention of
related and unrelated information over time.
